Múzeum oravskej dediny

The museum is located at the foot of the Roháče mountain range, in beautiful natural surroundings
environment. More than fifty examples of vernacular architecture are here
organized into many sections that resemble the individual districts of Orava.

There is also a water-powered mill, an oil mill, a ceramic furnace, and a mangel na
ironing cloth and other technological constructions. Visitors have the option
to imagine the way of life and employment of the people of Orava in the past
through the furnishing of dwellings, breeding of domestic animals and summer
cultivation of conventional crops.
