The largest Slovak open-air ethnographic exhibition is located in
Museum of the Slovak Village. It is being built by the Slovak National Museum in Martin
of the second half of the 1960s as a national exhibition of traditional
folk architecture, dwellings and way of life in Slovakia in the second
the middle of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

They are currently on display within its 15.5 hectare exhibition area
almost 150 residential, economic, technological, social and
spiritual buildings from the areas of Orava, Turca, Kysúc – Podjavorník and Liptov.
They provide a picture of the socio-economic distribution of the population
of northwestern Slovakia, as well as the diversity of traditional building cultures.

Services provided to visitors of the Slovak Village Museum also include an offer
a wide range of folk art products and the possibility of refreshments in a log cabin tavern from Oravská Polhora from 1811.
