The exhibition is located on Náměstí Žiadostí slovenský národa in a unique
complex of buildings connected to the St. Nicholas Evangelical Church from 1785.
It was opened in June 1987. The old evangelical parish (Hodžova parish)
the stormy 1940s, the creation and pioneering activities of the Tatrín Association –
predecessor of Matica slovenská (1844 – 1848), preparation and declaration of the first
of the national-political program of the Slovaks – The Demands of the Slovak Nation (1848).
The rectory witnessed the work of such personalities as priests Matúš Blaho,
Michal Miloslav Hodža, Jur Janoška. Authentic spaces, period furniture,
they document rare books, facsimiles of period documents and visual material
the important position of Liptovské Sväté Mikuláš as one of the resorts
of national and political life in Slovakia in the middle of the 19th century.
